17 FILIPINOS FORCED OTHERS INTO PROSTITUTION IN UAE

The Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates said that 17 Filipinos were arrested in Abu Dhabi earlier this month for operating a human trafficking syndicate forcing other Filipinos into prostitution.

POEA BANS MANNING AGENTS FROM LUNETA PARK

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) ordered manning agencies using booths managed by Luneta Seafarers? Welfare Foundation, Inc (LUSWELF) at Rizal Park near the National Library to stop their recruitment activities or face administrative sanctions.
Via?a POEA news release, Administrator Jennifer Jardin-Manalili said all recruitment activities of manning agencies in the area are now deemed illegal.
